Maria Greaney is the Administrative and Business Support Manager at Nel PreTech Corporation. She’s been with the 3D and CT scanning engineering lab since 2018. The first and last person to handle parts that come in for inspection or 3D scanning, she handles checking in, invoicing and shipping.
Maria began her career in the logistics/supply chain field after attending Morraine Valley Community College. She first worked with a freight forwarder, processing export documentation for companies exporting goods overseas. Then, she moved to a steamship line where she had the opportunity to work in a variety of positions. Lastly, she took on the primary Customer Service Coordinator role for the top Midwest Region customers. In 2001, she retired from the logistics field and began her career as a mom. Being able to stay home with her children gave her the opportunity to volunteer. She ran bookfairs, fall festivals and was team mom for a variety of her kid’s sports teams.
Once the kids were old enough, she started working a variety of part-time jobs, primarily in the administrative and customer service field. When she interviewed at Nel PreTech, she knew she was going to love working there.
It has been exciting for her to watch the engineering services company grow to what it has today. She believes the bright, talented, enthusiastic people are key to its success. Maria observes that everyone is open to keeping the momentum moving forward and seeking out new and improved ways in dimensional inspection and metrology. Maria’s aim is to continue motivating the staff with fun games and goals to keep things lighthearted with the intention of bringing everyone together.
Maria is married with two kids in college. She and her husband love to travel. Morning walks/runs and golfing with friends are also a favorite activity. She really treasures family time, so working part-time has given her the flexibility to make that happen.
