Lab Technician/Programmer -Open

JOB DESCRIPTION:

This position involves the inspection of manufactured components utilizing technical programming & metrology skills. The position also entails managing the technical aspect of assigned jobs through interaction with customers, communication with NPC management and staff, and organization of documentation.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

The Lab Technician/Programmer has the responsibility to manage the day-to-day activity of assigned projects. A Lab Technician/Programmer must be able to effectively utilize all NPC metrology tools to complete project requirements. A Lab Technician/Programmer will successfully complete assigned inspection projects “on time” and “within budget” to internal and customer standards. He / She will be required to full-fill administrative responsibilities defined by company standard operating procedures and work instructions including but not limited to creating supporting documentation on all assigned projects consistent with latest company policy. This position requires communication of current project status to the Operations Manager. Finally, the employee will be required to understand and work well within the hierarchy of the company and make every effort to maintain a professional and productive team working relationship with all coworkers

Account Manager/Programmer -Filled

JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

:An Account Manager/Programmer will successfully complete assigned inspection projects “on time” and “within budget” to internal and customer standards. The Programmer/Account Manager has the responsibility to manage the day-to-day activity of assigned accounts. He / She will correspond with customer engineers or quality personnel to relay technical information or resolve issues relating to assigned projects. Occasional quoting of jobs is performed by the Account Manager/Programmer. He / She will be required to full-fill administrative responsibilities defined by company standard operating procedures and work instructions including but not limited to creating supporting documentation on all assigned projects consistent with latest company policy. This position requires communication of current project status and incoming project status to the Operations Manager. Finally, the employee will be required to understand and work well within the hierarchy of the company and make every effort to maintain a professional and productive team working relationship with all coworkers.

Account Managers/Programmers have defined responsibility for completion of assigned projects “on time” etc… and by nature must have the authority to accept customer projects, arrange customer meetings, pick up and deliver projects, and schedule customer jobs for assigned accounts. (The scheduling of customer jobs however, should not adversely affect current production schedules without operations management approval). Account Managers/Programmers have the specific authority for establishing project pricing and quoting of assigned jobs. (Operations Management and then the President hold ultimate authority for project pricing).

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3-5 years metrology experience related to dimensional inspection. Minimum 2 years CMM programming “PCDMIS” preferred Thorough knowledge of GD&T (geometric dimensioning & tolerancing)

Human Resource Manager -Filled

JOB DESCRIPTION:

This position involves managing the administrative processing needs of NPC’s employees. This position reports directly to the president.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

The Human Resource Manager has the responsibility of establishing the processes for payroll, personnel data, health insurance, company retirement plan, and workers compensation insurance issues. This position does not make policy.

JOB AUTHORITIES:

This position has the authority to contract with the appropriate vendors needed to assist in administering employee record keeping, insurance needs, and all NPC benefits. He/She will also work with the Operations Manager, to request appropriate administrative support from NPC personnel. This support may include employee data collection and tracking, faxing, photocopying, filing, typing and distribution of letters and memos. In addition, this position has the authority to consult with legal counsel as needed to maintain appropriate personnel policy and procedure.

  • Bachelors degree in business administration or related.
  • 3 to 5 years prior experience in human resources department

Office Manager -Filled

JOB DESCRIPTION:

This position involves the supervision and organization of all administrative functions and administrative personnel. The Office Manager is an operations support function and reports directly to the Operations Manager.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

The Office Manager has the responsibility to supervise the purchasing retention. He/She will also purchase supplies and materials to keep a fully stocked supply cabinet. He/She will be required to organize and manage the control of all documentation and record retention system. The Office Manager will have the responsibility of supervising the administrative staff. When appropriate administrative support in conjunction with assigned projects is requested, the Office Manager along with the administrative staff will be requested to fulfill their requests within a reasonable time period. All administrative duties performed by the Office Manager and administrative staff are to be in accordance with company standard operating procedures and work instructions.

JOB AUTHORITIES:

This position is responsible for purchasing supplies and materials within an approved budget. The Office Manager will also review, document, and report administrative personnel performance.

Operations Manager -Filled

JOB DESCRIPTION:

This position involves the supervision and organization of all administrative functions and administrative personnel. The Office Manager is an operations support function and reports directly to the Operations Manager.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

The Operations Manager position involves the day-to-day maintenance and improvement of facility, business processes, employee performance, customer relations, and production scheduling. This position reports directly to the President

JOB AUTHORITIES:

  • The Operations Manager has broad responsibilities for business processes and operations and by nature has defined authority to:
  • Hire and fire employees for all operations positions
  • Schedule production and employee hours and allocate machine use

Quality Assurance Manager -Filled

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Quality Assurance Manager position involves the establishment, maintenance, auditing and documentation, and reporting of the quality management system. This position is a key management position and reports directly to the Operations Manager.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for establishing and auditing the quality management system. The auditing task must be at defined intervals and the documented findings reported at the management review meetings. The Q.A. Manager collects and maintains all quality records so that they are stored securely, clearly identified, and readily retrievable. The Q.A. Manager is also responsible for facilities upkeep, equipment calibration and lab maintenance, and general housekeeping. The Q.A. Manager is the key management representative during external and certification audits and accommodates all auditors for the duration of the audit. The Q.A. Manager is responsible for maintaining the relationship with calibration and maintenance suppliers and the service personnel of lab equipment suppliers. This position reports directly to the Operations Manager.

JOB AUTHORITIES:

The Quality Assurance Manager has the specific responsibility of maintaining the business processes of the quality management system as well as the upkeep and improvement of the facility and by nature has the authority to:

Purchase supplies and services within approved budget
Review, document, and report employee performance with regard to the quality management system

Shipping/Receiving Manager -Filled

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Shipping/Receiving Manager performs, documents, tracks, and oversees the receiving and shipping of customer product and information. This position reports directly to the Operations Manager.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

The Shipping/Receiving Manager must properly document and prepare product and information for timely shipment to customers consistent with company standard procedures and work instructions. This Manager must also properly receive and prepare goods and information for timely introduction to “work in process”. Also, it is the responsibility of the shipping manager to track shipments and report status to customers, if necessary. The Shipping Manager must verify all goods and information received against purchase orders and shipping documents and then follow standard operating procedures and work instructions for notifying NPC management and customers of discrepancies. Finally, the employee will be required to understand and work well within the hierarchy of the company and make every effort to maintain a professional and productive team working relationship with all coworkers.

JOB AUTHORITIES:

This position is responsible for the quality of shipped product, accuracy of information, and the “on time” delivery and acceptance of customer goods and information. Therefore, the Shipping/Receiving Manager has the authority to hold product or information until all necessary requirements have been provided. The Shipping /Receiving Manager also has the authority to contact customers to resolve discrepancies.

Technical Director -Filled

JOB DESCRIPTION:

This position involves the acquisition, maintenance, and dissemination of technical processes, procedures, and applications knowledge related to our laboratory and metrology practice. It also entails basic monitoring and improvement of laboratory measurement practices and laboratory applications software and hardware. This is a key management* position and reports directly to the Operations Manager.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

The Technical Director responsibilities include establishing, supervising, and documenting CMM and Dimensional Metrology training programs for all new and current lab technicians. This process also requires review and documentation of the proficiency status of all CMM and Dimensional Metrology Lab technicians on an annual basis (minimum). The training systems must be documented, meet company goals, and effectively in compliance with ISO 9000 and other accreditation standards that are required of Nel PreTech Corporation.

The Technical Director is responsible for acquiring, maintaining, documenting, and communicating all up to date knowledge of lab systems and software, dimensional measurement and reporting techniques, and measurement industry technical developments. He / She is responsible for maintaining and developing laboratory application software and laboratory computer systems hardware. The Technical Director will also head committees and participate in special projects and assignments geared toward process improvement. Finally, the employee will be required to understand and work well within the hierarchy of the company and make every effort to maintain a professional and productive team working relationship with all coworkers.

JOB AUTHORITIES:

The Technical Director has the authority to communicate via company memorandums and other documenting devices the defined procedures and policies for Laboratory computer processes as well as specific employee performance in regards to the same. The Technical Director also has purchasing authority within approved budgets for laboratory systems. The Technical Director also requires continuing education with respect to measurement processes and has authority to interact with supplier technical resources in whatever way necessary to obtain critical information. Company provided education is available on request and approval basis. The Technical Director has the authority to create and issue training documents, create mandatory training requirements, and create a formal documented review process for all laboratory employees.
